Add the sound of bells to your sleigh ride. These shaft bells easily strap on to your sleigh shafts via two leather straps. All hardware, including the bells are solid brass. There are four bells. Two small and one medium and one large open face bells. Strap is 2 1/2″ wide x 13″ long. Also known as pole chimes or ice cream bells, shaft chimes derive their name from what they are mounted on. When secured to the shafts of a single horse-drawn carriage or sleigh, the are called shaft chimes. When secured to the pole or harness tongues of a team-driven carriage or sleigh, they are called pole chimes.
