Cormorants on the Creamer and Wood Storks on the Sugar Bowl make this set a unique focus on your table. I make my pottery using traditional wheel throwing techniques. After creating the stoneware pieces on the wheel, I then altered them into oval shapes and added the hand-pulled handles while the clay was still wet. After the initial bisque firing, I masked the panels and dipped the pieces in Floating Blue glaze. I painted the bird and foliage designs with glaze in the panels and then fired the pieces to about 2200 degrees. The wood storks and cormorants inhabit the wetlands near my studio. Glazes are lead free and totally safeThe set consists of the Sugar Bowl and Creamer shown here.
