The Bandit Bowl extends your furever friend’s mealtime to reduce the risk of dangerous bloat, minimize gastrointestinal discomfort, and provide a stimulating and stress-free eating experience for your pet. This SMALL/MEDIUM bowl will hold up to 1 cup of food within the grooves. It measures about 6″ in diameter. My original ceramic slow feeder bowl was designed for Bandit, my SPCA rescue. Bandit inhaled his food, choked frequently, and sometimes threw up. I wanted a safe, non-toxic alternative to the commercially available mealtime extender bowls and toys I was able to find for my little guy. I’m a potter, so I created the Bandit Bowl and it worked incredibly well! I offer my Bandit Bowls in five sizes and multiple glaze finishes. This listing is for MADE TO ORDER bowls not already in stock and may take up to 6 weeks to ship. Each bowl is designed with channels that disburse the food and require your pet to forage for his or her food. The cat bowl is slightly more shallow than the dog bowl. I offer extra deep grooves on the Giant size bowl. The bowls are most effective when food is nestled within the grooves. While up-sizing can be effective for any dog, it is especially helpful for dogs who think they are canine vacuums or for those with flat noses, wide heads or short snouts (like pitties, boxers, bulldogs, pugs, etc.). The ceramic surface is easy to clean, and my bowls are dishwasher and microwave safe (use appropriate precautions, please), durable, and of high quality. I wet sand the bottoms of each with 50-100-200-400 grit diamond sanding pads because I care as much about your floor surfaces as I do your pets.
