In the first half of the last century, between 1930 and 1950, Benlee was a great name. Famous boxers fought with “Bomber Brown” Joe Louis, “Jersey” Joe Walcott and Rocky Marciano, three heavyweight champions in one go. All stood in the ring with Benlee boxing gloves and Benlee sports trousers. Other champions such as Jake “The Raging Bull” La Motta, “Sugar” Ray Robinson and Floyd Patterson wore Benlee. Benlee began producing boxing equipment in the 1930s, but retired from the business in the 1960s. Punch GmbH brings the tradition back to life and in memory of Rocky Marciano, the best boxer of all time, died in 1969, she has attached its name to “his” brand: BenleeRockyMarciano.
