Each package contains certification. The Character: Weldtool 420 is an air hardening filler metal requiring preheating of the material to 350°F before welding. Similar to 410 but with a higher Carbon content. The Application: Weldtool 420 is used to weld 403, 405, 410, 416 and 420. Also used for welding overlay or surfacing on carbon steels to resist corrosion. Used when post hardening and tempering in required.
