Our oak bathtub tray caddy is perfect for your antique clawfoot or standard tub. We’ve found this very useful for when reading books or just enjoying a glass of wine while taking a bath. Each are handcrafted with white and red oak wood from Michigan. We start our woodwork using rough cut and reclaimed lumber. We love rough wood because it’s fun transforming messy looking boards into beautiful objects. Each finish is unique to the character of the wood. This tray features a smooth finish with rough sawn cut marks for a rustic appearance. We treat the wood with a honey oil that penetrates, stains and seals. It is an oil-based wood stain, which provides beautiful rich color that enhances the natural wood grain. Although it is water-resistant, it is NOT water-proof. ***It is recommended to wipe down the tray after each use to avoid any water marks left on the board. There are wooden “feet” bars installed on the bottom to help prevent slide off and reduces movement from side to side when in use. – – – Measurements: Please specify the measurements of your tub. Each tray will be ~11″ wide, with a thickness of ~3/4″ For the length of the tray, you will need to measure the inside and the outside width of your bath tub (reference photo above). Please INCLUDE these dimensions within the notes at checkout, or include it within a conversation message. – – – After Care: As part of natural aging, your wooden tray will typically develop a beautiful patina and undergo color changes (especially if in direct sun light). Although these boards are water resistant, you still might end up with water marks. To avoid this, be sure to wipe tray down after each use. If the wood appears to be overly dry, we recommend you reapply wood oil.
