Vita Vibe’s Traditional Wood, wall mounted barre systems are perfect for ballet/dance and barre fitness. These systems will work great for commercial and home use! The barres are made of natural Ash hardwood. This is a high quality wood that will last you for many years. All barres are sanded smooth and unfinished. Most people use the wood barres unfinished as they are and let them naturally patina. We do not recommend staining or varnishing the barres because this may cause a sticky buildup or may wear and need to be re-finished. For a wood preserver, we do recommend using a Danish oil or Linseed oil every few months. For cleaning, we recommend using 600 grit sandpaper and lightly sanding the affected areas. The brackets may be placed anywhere along the barre unless needed to join two barres together. Key Points: The diameter of the wood is 1.5″. This allows users both big and small to feel comfortable using the barre. Longer length barre systems over 8′ ship in multiple barre sections. See the systems components below. Barres are cut ½” shorter than stated length: 4’ = 47.5”, 5’=59.5”, 6’=71.5”,7’=83.5”, 8’=95.5” Each system is configured for our recommended 4 ft bracket spacing. Allow at least 2’ per person or more depending on the activity. Barres supports 100 lbs. per linear foot of static weight when properly installed. Bracket mount plate is 1-1/2” wide x 4” tall. From center of 4” mount plate to the top of the barre is 5-1/2”. Distance from mounting surface to center of barre is approximately 8”. Brackets are made of heavy gauge steel and feature a light textured matte black powder coated finish. Ballet barres are typically mounted at 42” top of barre height, 42” and 32” for double barres. Barres for barre fitness are typically mounted between 36” and 40” top of barre height. When barres meet in a corner take 1’ off each barre dimension so that the barres do not touch in the corner.
