The point is very sharp, designed to pierce objects.  Blade Body The edge of Makoto Japanese katanas are hand sharpened. They are practical – can be used to slice through objects – and it is great for daily practices. The standard katana’s blade length is 32 inches  Tsuba The tsubas in the Hand Painted series katanas varies. Please refer to each katana for tsuba style and theme. Scabbard The scabbards in the Hand Painted series katanas are beatifully hand painted. Please refer to each katana for painting theme. Handle The blades in the Hand Painted series katanas are full tang. There are 2 meguki on the handle to hold the blade.
