This adorable bed frame adds a simple, but bold statement to any bedroom. Now your child can play house -in their own house- without taking up valuable bedroom space! The standard setup comes as just the frame, unpainted (sanded and ready to paint), with 5″ wide base boards and 3″ wide upper frame, including the 2-rail boundaries on 3 sides (as pictured). There are also options available to customize the frame, such as adding slats (to support mattress off the floor) and/or a chimney (see pics), as well as custom sizing. Each frame is carefully packaged and sent with all necessary hardware and simple instructions. The bed comes as “ready to paint/stain/coat”, I do not offer this service because of shipping and time restrictions. They are very easy to paint with a 4″ roller and about a quart or 2 of paint, and they take a stain/clear coat very well. Note that this is a handmade item, and likewise none of my processes are automated. These are hand-made out of locally harvested, kiln-dried poplar wood that is 99% knot-free (there may be small, faint, hardly noticeable knots but we toss out the bad ones!). Tools required for assembly can all be found at any hardware store. You will need a #2 square bit (6″ long style), an extra set of hands (although I’ve done this myself many times), and a cordless power drill (nothing fancy).
