The KG-805G transmits at up to 5 watts of power, and has built-in support for GMRS repeater channels. The Wouxun KG-805G is FCC approved specifically for GMRS, so its use is completely legal! Support for PC programming is not necessary, but is available. Some features can be customized using the optional programming software (free download) such as adding or removing channels or customizing the channel name, bandwidth, transmit power, or CTCSS/DCS codes. Support for up to 128 channels is provided, and receive-only channels can be added for any frequency in the 400-470 MHz range. The KG-805G features 22 simplex GMRS channels and 8 GMRS repeater channels with 155 CTCSS and DSC privacy tones and codes, channel scan, and adjustable squelch.
