this Lamp is made from a Piece of Driftwood collected by me just after Hurricane Harvey landed in Rockport, TX, and a piece of Barnwood reclaimed from an old barn in the Texas hill country. The fixture is made from 1/2″ iron pipe and UL listed electrical parts. I prepared the baseboard using an old Japanese technic of actually burning the top of the board with a torch until it was completely black and charred. Next, the wood was carefully sanded to retain the burned appearance and finished off with two layers of Epoxy resin to give it a very hard and mirror-like glossy surface. This is the same way I finish bartops and river tabletops. Although designed to be placed on a desktop or buffet I am also sending along with the lamp a set of Z-clips that you can use to mount the light on a wall to use as a sconce. It Is a One of a kind lamp, totally unique to you, if for no other reason than that no two pieces of driftwood will ever be alike. To protect your furniture I glued felt to the bottom of the lamp. Included in the price are a spare light bulb, careful packing, and insured shipping. The Edison Bulb is 10.5 inches long and the overall dimension of the lamp is 19.5 inches long by 5.25 inches wide and 9.5 inches high.
